I was born in southern California and raised in the Chicago suburbs. I grew up attending Willow Creek Community Church, where I became a Christian. I got involved with the church along with my two best friends, Derek and Tim. In college, I found a group of men that became my community there. Sharing life with these people made my college experience so rich. I led in different roles around Wheaton College and eventually discerned my call to ministry. After graduating I moved to Sacramento to be a youth pastor with Emmaus Church Community, a church I had interned at earlier. My dream is to one day plant and pastor a church. I moved to Denver in December 2010 and joined The Neighborhood Church’s staff in January. I plan to begin Denver Seminary’s M.Div. program in the fall semester.

The Hood is where high school age students can come to ask questions, have fun, develop faith in Christ, foster friendships, and sometimes just hang out. The Hood is not so much a youth program as a community of youth growing and living and learning together. We meet every other Sunday after worship from 12:15 until 2pm.
